Owasso native Jared Gallagher hired as TU public-address announcer

A new voice will welcome University of Tulsa fans to football games at H.A. Chapman Stadium and basketball games at the Reynolds Center next season. Jared Gallagher, a 29-year-old native of Owasso, has been hired as the Hurricane's public-address announcer. He replaces Larry Clark, who retired after more than two decades in the role.

Jared Gallagher made his broadcasting debut a little more than a decade ago calling Future Owasso Rams football games on Saturdays. Gallagher's voice can be heard on Saturdays this fall as the public address announcer for Division I football games at the University of Tulsa.

OKC Dodgers, Owasso PA announcer honored

Local public address announcer Jared Gallagher was named the recipient of the Bob Sheppard NCAA P.A. Announcer of the Year Award this week by the National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers. Gallagher is currently the primary announcer for the Oklahoma City Dodgers and Owasso High School.
